Welcome to the Pitstop Out of School club website
The Pitstop Out of School Club is open to all 4-12 year olds. At Pitstop we promote the principles of Play; that children’s play is freely chosen and that through Play children can explore - learning and developing as an individual. Our aim is to provide opportunities for the individual child to achieve his or her potential in a fun, friendly and caring environment.
We are continuing our film making project following a grant award of £500 from Suffolk County Council which funded a new laptop and a camcorder. Over the summer children took on different roles; presenting, editing, filming, directing etc to create their own films on puppet theatre, Pitstop's got talent, dance, interviews and even had a go at animation. It was a lot of fun!
The children have just created their mini sensory garden following a trip to the garden centre to buy a range of herbs, lavender and brightly coloured flowers. They designed and planted all the plants and have already seen the bees enjoying the lavender.
We all had fun in a balloon modelling workshop making hats, dogs, swords and other creative shapes!
